Ffocws 2023

The exhibition continues until 12 January 2024, open Wednesday – Saturday, 12 – 5 pm.

Ffocws is part of Ffotogallery’s mission to support emerging and early-career artists. It looks to survey recent graduates who have studied visual arts in Wales as well as offer opportunities to those who have not been in a formal art and creative education.

After surveying graduate shows from Higher Education Institutions across the country, we can now announce that ten outstanding projects by graduating students have been selected to be included in a group exhibition, opening on 23 November.

The contributing artists include Alice Forde, Emma Spreadborough, Jean Chan, Mareah Ali, Katie Nia, Megan Morgan, Robin Chaddah-Duke, Shannon Maggie, Shaun Lowde and Viv Collis.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cardiff MADE and the Higgins Photography Initiative to include a further four more artists; Jack Moyse, Kaylee Francies, Ffion Denman and Tracy Patricia Harris. They will be supported to develop their career path and practice through a tailored, six-month professional development programme which includes a series of talks, peer critiques and mentoring by professional photographers.
