CARDIFF STREET ARTIST THREATENNED BY AUTHORITIES
name
Whilst acknowledging that I am committing no offence authorities have requested for me to cease production of and busking with artwork on Cardiff's Queen Street with threats of arrest for Criminal Damage. and Obstructing a public Highway

'A large part of what I am demonstrating with my artwork on Queen Street is that for people on low or no income there are ways of producing work, making a couple of pound doing so and that creativity is a key to SURVIVAL in our countries current financial climate' Art and creativity should be encouraged and supported by Local Authorities, as it enhances our grey city environments at the very least and is an avenue to generating a small amount of income to allow people to invest in themselves and improving their personal circumstances as apposed to crime or dealling illegal substances'.

I also believe that in the current financial crisis that our country is going through, More and more people are going to find themselves needing to make a little extra money somehow and that authorities should put in place rules that allow those people to earn so much as is needed to invest in oneself enough to get onto the first rungs of the career ladder

WHILST WRITTING THIS I HAVE JUST BEEN INFORMED THAT ANOTHER CARDIFF STREET ARTIST HAS BEEN GIVEN SIMMILAR WARNINGS TO LEAVE AND NOT RETURN TO CARDIFF'S QUEEN STREET I WOULD URGE ANYONE THAT SUPPORTS LEGAL BUSKING ACTIVITIES TO FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME WITH A LETTER OF SUPPORT TO ukmd001@yahoo.co.uk
