Ffotogallery is proud to present this summertime booktastic event taking place at Turnerhouse Gallery, Penarth on Saturday 15th of August 2009.

Book Arts Fayre celebrates the ‘artists book’ in all its forms, from photocopied zines and handmade pieces to published monographs and limited edition works. This free one-day event will give everyone from families, artists and students the chance to explore and engage in self-publishing and a wealth of contemporary book arts practice from Wales and beyond.

Throughout the day Ffotogallery will be full of stalls exhibiting work from artist groups such as Bristol based intercity mainline, galleries such as G39 and individual artists like George Cullen and Samuel Hasler.

Book fayre regulars damn fine art! Will be selling their usual array of zines, brooches, prints, t-shirts. True to form there will also be an amazing selection of delicious cakes, along with a complementary cup of tea! Visitors can also try their hand at badge making whilst listening to a selection of readings, an acoustic set from Emphemetry and a talk from current ffotogallery artist Joe Magee.

There will be no admission charge to Book Arts Fayre. For any more information please call us on (029) 2070 8870 or email turnerhouse@ffotogallery.org.

Some of this fayres stallholders include Ireland’s cardboard press, time travel opportunists form Derby, nowt press, Lorna Crabbe, Nigel Peake and Maura Hazelden.
