Statement

Originally from Bristol I now live and work in South Wales specialising in a range of photographic mediums to produce thought provoking bodies of work. Handwritten typography and disguised messages are a reoccurring theme within my work which has previously been exhibited in group shows in London, Cardiff and Bristol.

My most recent series of work entitled Unsent Letters is based around the concept of diary keeping and explores the idea of writing as therapy. The time consuming nature of hand printing and painting this series of images allows for a period of reflection and contemplation as to what is being written, giving each piece a truly distinctive meaning behind it. The indecipherable text being an unsent letter to the subject is also designed to provide the audience with an opportunity for reflection as they try to seek meaning within the secretive and distorted text.
