Statement

Two years ago he was involved in documenting the local homeless people with charity organisations such as Shelter, Big Issue and Street Footballs Wales (Homeless World Cup).
This gave him the opportunity to support these social issues and get a better understanding of his practice. “Cardboardworld” (the name of the project) has been exhibited at the Swansea Waterfront Museum and the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff.

From this experience he learned that working with people on the edge of society is something that he feels passionate about and he wants to explore other similar aspects of society.
Spending time with his subjects is vital so he has a better understanding of their lives.

He has spent 12th months in Swansea Marina studying the local fishing industry activity as he strongly believes that in the near future this way of life will no longer exist. Unfortunately, advanced and high technology of new way of fishing allow big companies of the fish industry sending their ships factory out at sea for a long period, detecting and catching large amounts of fish and then freezing it. This way of fishing keeps the price low causing a struggle in the local fish community and going on like this he thinks the local fishing activity will slowly disappear. This work is developing into an interesting project and has given him the chance to explore and document the work and private life of one particular fisherman.
