Statement

Lee Rose is an artist/curator and co-director of the non-profit arts organisation, DecemberLab based in Cardiff, Wales. Lee studied fine art, installing video performance and found footage into assemblage/installations. Furthering his interest in the moving image, lee studied an MA in moving image. In 2010 he successfully obtained mentorship (as co-director of DecemberLab), with the london based art organisation, No.w.here, via the group mentoring programme setup by g39/Warp.

His art practice appropriates footage via online navigations or scavenging internal networks, using a cut up methodology to examine ontological/phenomenological and compositional concerns. With a further interest in propositional logic and set theory.
