Statement

I'm a 3rd year Sculpture student at CSAD (UWIC). I explore the 'equilibrium' of objects.

Balance is the focus of my work at the moment making large and small objects that stand in perfect balance at a particular point on the object.

I like exploring the effect of objects on the viewer, how calming or stimulating a simple object can be.

My work is designed, researched and engineered through a meticulous process to ensure the objects balance universally and convey the right 'energy' over the viewer. Now the work is exploring robotics and gyroscopes and how fascinating a phenomenon it is. With the new found application of robotics I will be able to develop these gyroscopes into really sophisticated little pieces.
