Statement

My work is inspired by the bizarre, the grotesque and surreal with touches of humour that can be sometimes described as barbed or dark. Influences range from the works of Bosch, Breugel and Goya to the illustrations of Ian Miller and Brian Froud, the books of Jack Vance, Mervyn Peake and Terry Pratchett to the plays of Shakespeare and the films of Tim Burton and Terry Gilliam. My tongue is placed firmly in my cheek when I create a piece of work and I like to think that this can be seen and enjoyed by the viewer.
