Statement

Hi, I was born in Morfa Nefyn and following a furious career as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator in Liverpool and London returned to the Lleyn Peninsula in 1988. I diverted into residential care for nine years and got back to my first love in 2006.

The spirit of my particular piece of Wales is a strong influence and a constant inspiration.
Light and shade, the ever changing pattern of colours and the rich texture of the land are the themes flowing through my work.

I'm still working through memories and trying to record family links to childhood haunts.

I work with palette knife and acrylic although some of my recent mixed media has some charcoal mixed into the wet paint as I like 'dirty' surface texture.
