so apparently sculpture and installation, like performance and video, is no longer an intrinsic part of what constitutes Fine Art? I heard yesterday that UWIC in their 'infinite wisdom' have decided to close down the Sculpture department on the fine art course. hmm....

The official announcement from UWIC about the closure of a number of courses including the fine art sculpture department. Apparently 'these changes will ensure a future for CSAD that is no less successful'! I guess we'll see about that, but the loss of Sculpture will be a significant void in the fine art course.
