Newport Art Gallery in John Frost Square is showing a major exhibition of the work of the celebrated graphic artist Abram Games. 'Maximium Meaning, Minimum Means' originated by the Design Museum - includes a comprehensive selection of his original posters and drawings - many from the classic 1940's and 50's period. The exhibition also includes two films and a number of his inventions. Many of the works, such as the Guinness and MOD commissions have taken on iconic status. The exhibition will be of particular interest to students and those interested in graphics and illustration. The exhibition runs until Saturday January 24th 2009.
